Thomas Da Silva, blind professional surfer, joins the Academy

Thomas Da Silva, known as The Blind Surfer, officially joins UNYRA Academy. A professional surfer who is 100% blind, Thomas embodies UNYRA's motto like no one else: "Everything is possible."

An Extraordinary Journey

Thomas Da Silva practices high-level surfing despite total blindness. What might seem impossible has become his daily reality. His extreme sports videos have already accumulated over 3 million views on social media, and his story has been featured by major outlets including Brut.

But Thomas doesn't stop at surfing. He constantly pushes the boundaries of what's possible, taking on ever more varied and ever more spectacular disciplines.

The "Everything Is Possible" Podcast

Alongside his sports practice, Thomas launches the "Tout est possible" (Everything Is Possible) podcast, which gives voice to those who have pushed past their limits to achieve what everyone thought was impossible. An inspiring format that extends his message beyond sports.

Why UNYRA Academy?

Thomas joins the Academy to structure and develop his project around disability awareness. His dual objective:

  • Document his practice of surfing and extreme sports as a blind person, to show that disability is not a limitation.
  • Raise awareness among the public and institutions about the capabilities of people with disabilities.

The Academy provides him with the framework, network and tools to transform his exploits into a genuine social impact project. The UNYRA Community gains an ambassador whose journey strikingly illustrates what "everything is possible" truly means.
